Marian mural, Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph, New York City Posted on 5 February 20185 February 2018 by Dustin Photo by Dustin Tyler Joyce 3 February 2018 View this post on Instagram Marian murals above the east arcade. According to the brochure available in the church, they are: 1. Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, Antipolo/Philippines 2. Our Lady of Charity of El Cobre/Cuba 3. Our Lady of the Rosary, Pompei¹/Italy 4. Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception/Korea 5. Our Lady of Altagracia/Dominican Republic 6. Our Lady of Perpetual Help/Haiti 7. Our Lady of Luján/Argentina 8. Our Lady of the Gate of Dawn/Lithuania 9. Our Lady of Mt. Carmel/Italy² ¹ This is a misspelling in the brochure. The mural itself reads Pompeii. ² I am not certain that Italy is the correct country. Mount Carmel is in modern-day Israel, and one of the panels of text on the mural itself appears to be Arabic. #52HOWin52weeks #church #Catholic #Catholicchurch #cathedral #Catholiccathedral #DioceseofBrooklyn #NYC #Brooklyn #BK #Bklyn #ProspectHeights #architecture #religion #⛪ #art #mural A post shared by Dustin Tyler Joyce (@dtjoyce) on Feb 4, 2018 at 5:25pm PST 40.680000 -73.966389 Share thisClick to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)Click to email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)MoreClick to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Like this:Like Loading...
