I ♥ maps

I love me some maps! Here are 40 of them that might not explain the world, but they show lots of interesting stuff, assembled by The Washington Post‘s Max Fisher. Some of my favorites:

• The world’s major writing systems
• Where people smoke the most (and least) cigarettes per person
• Legal systems of the world
• A partial map of geopolitical anomalies.

I would love a complete map of these “anomalies”—fascinating stuff!
